?Two-Day Marine Chronometer? Ulysse Nardin, Locle, No. 9029. Made circa 1950. Fine, mahogany, 2-day marine chronometer with power reserve indication and ratchet key.
C. Two-tier, with brass drop handles, signature and number plaques, the upper section with bevelled glass top, gilt painted aluminium bowl and gimbals. D. Matte silvered with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the seconds and power reserve indication. Black painted "spade" hands. M. Cal. 83 mm, frosted gilt brass, half plate with baluster pillars secured by screws, 14 jewels, fusée with chain and Harrison's maintaining power, Earnshaw's spring detent escapement, free-sprung 2-arm cut bimetallic compensation balance with four cylindrical weights and 2 meantime adjusting nuts, polished steel helical balance spring with inner and outer terminal curves, diamond endstone. Dial, box and movement signed. Dim. Bowl 11 cm., box 19 cm. square.
