Two-Day Marine Chronometer Ulysse Nardin, Locle, No. 4595. Made circa 1940. Fine, mahogany, 2-day marine chronometer with power reserve indication and ratchet key. Accompanied by the original transportation case.
C. Three-tier, with brass handles, the glazed middle section with hinged lid (missing glass). Brass bowl and gimbaled suspension. D. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the seconds and power reserve indication (missing hand). Gold spade hands. M. Cal. 83 mm, gilt brass, full plate with baluster pillars secured by screws, 14 jewels, fusée with chain and Harrison's maintaining power, Earnshaw's spring detent escapement, free-sprung 2-arm bimetallic compensation balance with cylindrical weights and 2 meantime adjusting nuts, polished steel helical balance spring, diamond endstone.
