Matte silver, annular with applied radial platinum and rose-cut diamond-set Roman numerals, outer applied platinum dot minute divisions, the center with skeletonized movement. Platinum and rose-cut diamond-set hands. M. 17''', maillechort, skeletonized, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with all adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed, dial also signed Plojoux, Geneve. Diam. 47 mm.

Notes

The present watch represents the ultimate in early Art Deco elegance. During this period rock crystal cases were popular, the trend having been started by Cartier. This watch goes a step further, skeletonizing the movement to enhance the effect of the crystal's transparency.
M. A. Plojoux Was established 30, Rue du Rhône in Geneva. A high precision watchmaker who specialised in complication watches and jewellery, he received two awards at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1878, won a gold medal in 1880 and took part in the Geneva National Exhibition in 1896.
