Minute-Repeating Split-Seconds Chronograph Attributed to Ulysse Nardin, Locle, No. 6944, retailed by F. Baud, Horloger, Montreux. Made circa 1910. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with oval button split-seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, bassine, polished, co-axial start/stop/ return-to-zero chronograph button in the crown, split-seconds button at 11. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and concentric fifths of a second chronograph divisions, red Arabic five-second numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Black steel spade hands. M. Cal. 19''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 31 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut two-arm bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, swan-neck micrometer regulator, visible chronograph mechanism, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed by the retailer. Diam. 53 mm.
