San Marco Chronometers.This series was produced in several limited editions in 18K yellow gold, some of 12 and others of 25 examples, eachedition with different ships on the dials. They were specially made to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Ulysse Nardin,the dials enameled by Michel Vermot, Le Locle.The History of the Navy, of over 50 countries in the world, has been closely associated to Ulysse Nardin for the past 100years. Some of the most famous historical ships are represented on the 'cloisonné' enamel dials of this special seriesof watches.The 'Cutty Sark' is a clipper ship built in Dumbarton in 1869 for the China tea trade. It has been preserved in dry dockat Greenwich since 1957.
