Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Suisse, No. 618, adjusted by Auguste Rochat, circa 1910. Very fine mahogany two-day Marine Chronometer with 56-hour power reserve indicator, made for the 1914-15 Neuchatel Observatory Timing Competition.
C. Three-body, with brass handles, all the edges protected by heavy brass inlay, the glazed upper section with hinged lid. Brass bowland gimbaled suspension. D. Silvered with radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds and power reserve sector.Gold "spade" hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with baluster pillars secured by screws, 13 jewels, fusee with chain and maintaining power,spring detent escapement, two-arm bimetallic balance with cylindrical weights and two mean time adjusting screws, free sprung heli-calbalance spring withterminal curves, diamond endstone.Dial, case and movement signed.Dim.
