"Detent Chronometer" Ulysse Nardin, Locle, No. 7253. Made circa 1880. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold pocket chronometer.
C. Four-body, " bassine et filets", polished and engine turned. Hinged goldcuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outerminute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 19''',rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, half-plate, jewelledto the center, Earnshaw type spring-footed detent escapement with jeweledlocking stone, gold escape wheel with gold mountedendstone, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balancespring, index regulator.Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 55 mm.
