Notes

The Gorch Fock is the German training-ship that was launched in Hamburg in 1958. Its name derives from the pseudonym of the writer Hans Kinau who died during the Skagerrak battle at sea in 1916. The Gorch Fock represented Germany during the Commemoration of the 500 years of the discovery of America, in New York in 1992.
