UNIVERSAL CHRONOGRAPH SQUARE YELLOW GOLD Universal, Geneve, case No. 1036606. Made in the 1940s. Fine and rare, square, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with square button chronograph and register.

Two-body, polished and brushed, straight lugs, snap-on case back. Black with printed baton indexes, concentric minute/seconds track, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Pink gold dauphine hands. Cal. 289, gilt brass, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
