UNIVERSAL TRI-COMPAX TRIPLE DATE YELLOW GOLD Universal, Genève, "Tri-Compax," case No. 2732688. Made in the 1960s. Fine, water resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer, triple date and moon phases.

Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, triangular lugs. Tri-color, champagne, silver and black with applied yellow gold and red inlay baton indexes, luminous dots, outer 1/5th seconds track and tachometer scale to 500 UPH, guilloché subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12- hour and 30-minute registers and the date, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Luminous black tapered hands. Cal. 281, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring.
