Notes

This example is an attractive early version of the Polerouter Sub launched by Universal in 1961.
Not only are the reference and serial numbers clearly visible even the engraving “Stainless Steel Swiss” are still present on the outer caseback, a feature rarely found on the light factory reference and serial engravings by Universal. Featuring its original dial with small lume dots on the indexes as well as a larger Universal crown at 2 o clock to rotate the inner bezel and the classical smaller cross-hatched crown at 4, it has been maintained in excellent overall condition.
It even features luminous on the revolving bezel as seen in the early advertisements by Universal that claimed that it was “the only wristwatch with luminous indexes on a revolving inner bezel”.
