UNIVERSAL REF.. 22297-3 TRI COMPAX STEEL Universal, Geneve, "Tricompax", case No. 1803186, Ref. 22297-3. Made in the 1960's. Fine and rare, stainless steel wristwatch with square button chronograph, registers, triple date and moon phases.
Three body, polished and brushed, faceted lugs, rounded bezel, correctors on the band, dust cap, screwed down case back. Silver with applied steel baton indexes and luminous dots, outer minutes/seconds divisions, subsidiary guilloche dials for the seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, aperture for the day of the week and the month, the days of the month and the moon phases. Steel dauphine hands. Cal. 281, Rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, steel Breguet balance spring.
