Notes

Introduced in 1944 to mark the brand’s 50th anniversary, the Tri-Compax became an instant icon of mid-century Swiss watchmaking, uniting three of horology’s most poetic complications within a single, beautifully balanced dial. The Reference 22592, among the earliest executions, exemplifies the golden age of Universal Genève’s technical mastery and design purity.

The present example, with its gracefully aged silvered dial, blued steel hands, and applied Arabic numerals, evokes the restrained elegance of the 1950s. The symmetrical arrangement of registers and calendar apertures reveals an architectural harmony that continues to inspire collectors and designers alike.

Powered by the in-house calibre 287, the Tri-Compax represents Universal Genève’s pursuit of mechanical sophistication and aesthetic refinement. This model remains one of the most emblematic creations of its era, a chronograph where complexity and beauty exist in perfect equilibrium.
