UNIVERSAL TRI-COMPAX DAY-DATE Universal, Genève, "Tri-Compax". Made in the 1960s. Very fine, stainless steel, water-resistant, wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, tachometer bezel, triple date and moon phases.
Three-body, polished, tachometer graduation on the black bezel to 500 units, screwed-down case back, curved lugs. Matte black and white with applied luminous steel indexes, outer white minutes and fifths of a seconds divisions, guilloché subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12- hour and 30-minute registers and the date, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Luminous white tapered hands. Cal. 281, rhodiumplated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring, shock absorber. Dial, case and movement signed.
