Notes

Featuring a snap on caseback, this rare oversize 38 mm chronograph is an early version dating from the 1930’s and signed by both Universal and Berthoud as they were collaborating at those times. The case is a wonderful step-down case similar to those found on Longines referred to by collectors as “Tre Tacche” and has its last digits stamped on the case that matches the serial number on the caseback confirming its originality. The dial has luminous dots (worn) that matches its radium hands and has an attractive bi-color scales. Probably one of the nicest chronographs produced by the firm at the time.
