Notes

Vsevolozhsky

The Vsevolozhsky family is a Russian aristocratic family descended from the Rurik dynasty.

The Rurik dynasty, also known as the Rurikid dynasty or Rurikids, was a noble lineage founded by the Varangian prince Rurik of Ladoga (c.824-879), who established himself in Novgorod around the year 862.

In 1622, Michael I (1596-1645), the first Russian tsar of the House of Romanov, granted the family Zherekhovo, a village in the Vladimir Oblast.

The coat-of-arms of the Vsevolozhsky family is composed of the arms of the cities of Smolensk and Kiev in recognition of their membership of the Smolensk rurikovitch, and is stamped with a crown showing their membership in the princely dignity.
