CAPUCINE CLOCK French. Made circa 1825. Fine, brass, eight-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating, the hours struck twice at 12 and 12.02, Capucine clock with alarm.

Brass rectangular with lateral and back doors, bell, handle and four finials at the top, gilt brass patterned bezel, raised on four turned brass feet. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with red-painted 15-minute numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. 14 x 11 cm., brass rectangular full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, anchor escapement, pendulum with brass bob, silk suspension, rack striking work on the back plate, pull-wound alarm train also sounding on the bell, repeat lever protruding through the side door.
