8 DAY FORCE CONSTANTE DECK CHRONOMETER RUSSIAN 8-DAY CONSTANT FORCE LEVER DECK CHRONOMETER Mocow Watch Factory, No. 0023, "In the name of Kirov". Made in only 150 pieces in 1960. Very fine and very rare, 8-day going, small Chronometer with double- barrels and constant-force lever escapement. Accompanied by the fitted mahogany deck box and key.

Two-body, aluminium, shuttered winding aperture, screw-down milled-edge bezel. Two-tier mahogany box with glazed viewing port. Matte silver with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power-reserve indication. Blued steel alpha hands. 70 mm., gilt, fausses-cotes decoration, cylindrical pillars with polished steel screws, twin going barrels with tandem winding, jewelled constant-force lever escapement, straight line lever, the escape wheel pivot with pinion geared to a further wheel with 10-second remontoire impulsing the escapement for constant force via a four-arm pirouette, monometallic balance with meantime and temperature adjustment screws, free-sprung Breguet balance spring.
