THE LAKE AT SUNSET Swiss. Made circa 1910. Fine and attractive miniature silver-gilt and painted on enamel desk clock.

Elongated hexagonal, the front three panels decorated with a painted on enamel scene of an alpine lake at sunset, two back panels and the top overlaid with translucent yellow guilloche enamel, hinged back door, six bun feet. Two-tone gilt with Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel cathedrale hands. Arch-top brass plates, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Case punched with monogram trademark JRG.
