MUSICAL AND REPEATING GOLD POCKET WATCH Attributed to Piguet et Meylan, case No. 945, movement No. 24 177. Made circa 1820. Fine and rare, 18K gold, quarter-repeating, musical pocket watch with music playing on the hour or at will.

Four-body, "Empire", polished with reeded borders, reeded band, bolt at 11 o`clock to lock the repeat and at 2 o'clock for the music. Hinged gilt brass cuvette with apertures for winding. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel Breguet hands. 52 mm.(22```), gilt brass two-train, with foliate engraved standing barrel for the going train, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, polished steel endplate, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Sur plateau musical movement, 24 tuned, steel vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc. Movement numbered 24 177.
