CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL GRANDE & PETITE SONNERIE CARRIAGE CLOCK French, No. 867. Made circa 1900. Fine, large, gilt brass and champlevé enamel, Grand and Petite Sonnerie striking carriage clock with alarm.

Multi-piece, "anglaise riche", gilt-brass inlaid with predominently blue multicolored champlevé enamel, floral motif, the sides and top glazed, hinged handle. Porcelain with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, Porcelain alarm setting dial with radial Arabic numerals, champleve enamel. Blued steel halberd hands. Rectangular brass plates, going barrels for the going and striking trains, barrel for the alarm train, english lateral lever escapement on a large matte gilt platform, cut bimetallic balance with temperature adjustment screws, flat balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on two gongs with two hammers, strike selection lever in the base.
