INVICTA QUARTER REPEATER CHRONOGRAPH TRIPLE DATE CALENDAR ROSE GOLD Invicta, Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss, No. 407940. Made circa 1900. Fine, large, hunting-cased, keyless, quarter-repeating, 14K rose gold pocket watch with chronograph, triple date calendar and moon phases. Accompanied by a pouch.

Four-body, bassine, solid, polished. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the prize medals and technical details over a glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-second Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds, date, days of the week, months and aperture for the moon phases. Gilt Louis XV hands. Cal. 21''', frosted gilt, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by push-button on the band.
