QUARTER-REPEATING POCKET WATCH GOLD Swiss, case No. 2278. Made circa 1810. Fine, 18K gold, quarter-repeating pocket watch with a 9K gold fancy-link long chain.
Three-body, "Empire", engine-turned with polished borders, reeded band. Gilt brass cuvette hinged to the movement ring. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2. Blued steel Breguet hands. 47 mm., gilt brass, verge escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental balance clock, index regulator with silvered scale, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Case numbered.
