A SPRING BOUQUET CHINESE MARKET WATCH Swiss, case No. 7340. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1880. Fine, large, gilt-metal, painted on enamel and pearl-set centerseconds pocket watch.

Three-body, Empire, reeded band, the back painted on enamel with a large flower bouquet on a blue ground, pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow. Glazed gilt-rimmed cover over the movement. White enamel, narrow radial Roman numerals, center seconds, outer minute divisions. Blued steel Chinese hands. 56 mm. entirely engraved gilt Chinese caliber, 10 jewels, free-standing barrel, counterpoised lateral lever escapement, three-arm balance with blued steel winged weights, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case numbered.
