QUARTER-REPEATER ALARM WATCH PINK GOLD Swiss, case No. 5846, retailed by Ch. Grottendieck, Bruxelles. Made circa 1880. Fine and very rare, 18K pink gold, two-train keyless quarter- repeater pocket watch with date and alarm.
Three-body, polished, triple hinged. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute track with red Arabic 24-hour numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds and date dials. Blued steel spade hands, black arrow hand for the alarm. Cal. 20```, gilt brass, two barrels wound clockwise for the going and anti-clockwise for the alarm, 34 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.
