ANONYMOUS TRAVEL / TABLE CLOCK Anonymous, possibly French, circa 1880. Fine and rare, small, gilt brass, 8-day going carriage clock. Accompanied by a key and the original leather- covered travel case with slide-in glass window (broken handle).

Multi-piece, matte gilt brass, the sides and top glazed, entirely decorated in a floral and leaf pattern in relief, columns at each corner decorated with winged mermaids, rectangular feet, hinged handle. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with red 5-minute Arabic markers. Blued steel cathedral hands. Rectangular brass plates, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator.
