Unsigned, hallmark "H.N" on inside case In good condition. The enamel painting on the present lot was inspired by the Sleeping Venus, also known as the Dresden Venus, attributed to the Italian Renaissance painter Giorgione. The painting depicts the Roman goddess Venus sleeping naked. It has long been usually thought that Titian completed it after Giorgione's death in 1510.
