Notes

Watches-objects In Geneva, in the 1850-1860’s, Auguste Dutertre, a jeweller, had made the specialty of making watches-objects (powder-boxes, purses, albums of painting (miniature books), foldable eyeglasses, small watches in the shaped of hearts, locks, etc.). He subtracted some for Patek, Philippe & Co., where they buy movements, said lorgnon, for his other orders.
