Arrested during the first Restoration he was acquitted by the council of war. On the return from Elba Island, he delivers the last and glorious fight of the “Cents-Jours” campaign at Rocquencourt (July 1st, 1815); the last French victory of the Napoleonic Wars (after Napoleon’s abdication but before the armistice is signed), which will earn him the nickname of “Lion de Rocquencourt”.
