Notes

Polychrome painting on enamel on copper, by an unidentified artist, probably Geneva, showing “The Three Goddesses” – from left to right, Minerva (or Pallas or Athena), Venus (or Aphrodite), and Juno (or Hera) with the Peacock –, after a painting (1638) of Giovanni Andrea Sirani (1610-1670), from Bologna (The Judgment of Paris).
The painting of Sirani (H. 89 cm. / L. 121 cm.) was presented at auction by Sotheby’s, London, auction, December 12, 2002, Old Master Paintings, lot 185.
