French gothic silvered striking and repeating carriage clock. Made in 1890. The case in the neo-Renaissance style with handle of two entwined dragons, interlaced strapwork angles, the sides with roundels cast with scenes depicting the seasons the border engraved with the months in Gothic script, the rear with latched door. The front with scene of the Annunciation and inscription ‘Angelus Domini/nuntiavit Maria’. 8 days going movement, hour and half hour striking and repeating clock.
