18K yellow gold, enamel and pearl-set, hunting-case, key-winding, round-shaped, small pocket watch, made for the Chinese market; hinged cuvette (dome).
Cover and case-back polychrome enamelled with pearl-set representing Lotus flowers.
White enamel dial with black painted radial Roman numerals; blued steel “Spade” hands.
15’’’, full plate, gilded brass, with fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (gilded brass) and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental cock.

Notes

A more or less similar decorative pattern can be found on a pair of watches made for the Chinese market. Their movements are signed by Piguet & Meylan, Geneva. Their large cases are made by the Oltramare Brothers, Geneva (Ø 61 mm.). These two splendid pieces are kept today at the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva (Inv. S-301 a+b).
