Silvered metal and enamel, open-face, keyless-winding, squareshaped, pre-Art Deco, 8-day going, desk clock, with one horological complication:
• Hour and half hour striking on one steel gong
Chiselled and engraved frame; on the reverse, circular case-back with a small glass aperture to see the balance; cast hinged easel stand with shell decoration. Beige flinqué enamel (translucent enamel over guilloché engine-turning) fausse-plaque (false-plate), with white enamel ring dial with suspended Breguet numerals; elaborate blued steel hands; in the centre, silvered, chiselled and engraved automaton figures, on each side, with a cupid underneath, all seeming to strike the bells as the clock chimes.
