Extremely rare, large and important, musical, gold, painted on enamel and pearl set with three automaton pocket watch.
Decagonal shaped case in 18K gold, the band decorated with oval,
blue champlevé panels engraved and enameled with trophies of
arms, musical instruments and flowers, all set with split pearls, within translucent blue enamel Borders. The bezels decorated with split-pearls, the back panel of polychrome Summer flowers bouquet in a neoclassical vase against a landscape with a river. Polished gold cuvette.
Separate dial white enamel chapter-ring at 12 o’ clock with Roman numerals and blue steel Breguet hands. The surround entirely enameled with three gold finely painted on enamel automaton, the scene depicting a young man playing on the garden with his dog, his arm is moving
with a stick in order to make his dog jump and a lady overlooking with automated arm playing the guitar.
22’’’ gilt brass movement engraved with scrolls of foliage, cylinder escapement, gold escape wheel, three-arm gold balance with flat balance spring, fixed barrel, sur plateau musical train with tuned teeth working alternately on the top and bottom pins of the pinned disc,
the automaton driven from a steel ratchet wheel-type cam mounted concentrically to the top of the pinned disc.
