Notes

The date of manufacture of this watch can be given with some accuracy by comparing the production dates of Jean-Pierre Tavernier’s cases ordered by Abraham-Louis Breguet. We can mention, as an example, various “medallion”-type watches:

· Breguet No. 2 008, case No. 2 595, sold to Prince Grassilovill on November 12, 1806 (Antiquorum, Geneva, auction, April 2, 2006, lot 355).
· Breguet No. 2 053, case No. 2 634, sold to Mr. Aufresne, one of Breguet’s commercial agents for Poland and Russia, on August 25, 1807 (Antiquorum, Geneva, auction, October 19, 2002, lot 112).
