Rhodium-plated brass, open-face, manual-winding, round-shaped, deckwatch chronometer movement, with subsidiary seconds at 6, made for the observatory timing contests.
• White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals.

22’’’, based on Le Locle Horological School ebauche, going barrel, spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve.

In the 1920s and 1930s, the Horological School of Le Locle, Technicum neuchâtelois, was placed under the direction of Léopold Defossez (1878-1969), then, from 1926, under that of Jämes-César Pellaton (1873-1954). Eminent professors such as Robert Lavest (1890-1948) taught there.
