Wood (elm burr), silver, enamel, glass and leather, moulded sides, car travel nécessaire, so-called “Cantine de voiture”, containing two perfume bottles with stoppers and screwed covers, two small jars with covers, a dress brush, a mirror, a pouch with a pair of chisels, a nail file and a lace puller (both in polished steel and mother-of-pearl), a pouch with a notebook and a mechanical pencil; with, on the front, a keyless-winding clock with subsidiary seconds at 6.

On the structure of the object, in the background, decorated en suite, an enamelled silver plate representing Saint Christopher carrying the infant Jesus, with the mention “Regarde mon image et pars rassuré” (Look at my image and leave reassured), signed “M. Cosson”; the plate stamped with the initials “F M”, probably the master hallmark of Ferrucio Morandi, Paris, orfèvre à façon, received on March 30, 1912 (established 15, rue Jean Dolfus; cancelled on February 5, 1920).

The blue flinqué enamel (translucent enamel over guilloché engine-turning) silver parts of the cut and engraved glass toiletries are stamped with the initials “S C”, probably the master hallmark of Charles Sénart, Paris, bijoutier à façon, received on March 19, 1910 (established 44, rue Coquillère).

The clock with gilded brass bezel and case-back.

White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals; blued steel “Breguet” hands.

Movement 18’’’, gilded brass, going barrel, straight-line lever escapement, uncut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel flat hairspring, polished steel index-regulator; bearing the mention “Swiss made”.
