Notes

Rounding-up cutter
Cutter with fine teeth used by watchmakers for correcting gear-teeth that have already been cut. It has a helical guide, which penetrates between the teeth and guides the cutter without a dividing-plate as used in gear-cutting machines. The precision and interchangeability obtained by mechanical processes are now making this type of cutter obsolete.
