Attributed to Bontems, fine, tortoiseshell and gilt metal, singing bird box. Rectangular case entirely made of tortoiseshell, the scene painting on enamel on the cover shows a view of Lausanne and a flower bouquet at the reverse.
The bird rotating and moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by a rack and two cams mounted beneath the barrel, gilt brass grille engraved with foliage, activated by a bird-form slide in the side of the case.
