A very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold and enamel, oval-shaped scallop-edged (16 lobes) snuff box with hinged lid; borders of the cover, base and band decorated en suite with champlevé polychrome décor; made for the Islamic market. The center of the lid panel painted on enamel on gold showing a basket of flowers on translucent grey enamel ground over sunburst guilloché engine-turned; the base decorated en suite with a bunch of flowers.
