URBAN JURGENSENS POCKET CHRONOMETER ROSE GOLD Urabn Jurgensens Copehagen, No. 536/15 made in 1821. Important, exquisitely made and very rare 18K rose gold pocket Chronometer with Earnshaw-type spring detent Chronometer escapment.

OUTER Two-body polished, massive case in 18K gold with punchmarked KPF/FR for the case maker L. Steinmetz, INNER Two-body, "bassine", polished, 18K gold with punchmarked KPF/FR. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds, Blued steel Breguet hands. 49 mm., frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, the back plate recessed for the barrel secured by a bridge, the fusee with chain and Harrison's maintaining power, gold train, winding square surrounded by a dust pipe fixed on the top plate. Earnshaw spring detent escapement. Two arm compensated balance with 4 screws for temparature adjustment, 2 wedge shaped weights with locking screws on the underside and 2 timing scews,gold helical balance spring.
