Vacheron Constantin, “Astral” and “Trident” The “Astral” trademark for watch and clock movements was registered by Vacheron Constantin on February 22, 1895 (under No. 7 312). Later, on November 29, 1902, Vacheron Constantin registered the trademark “Trident” (under No. 15 123). These two tradenames were used until 1940 for the rare occasions on which they sold watches manufactured by other firms under their company name. In the 1920’s, Vacheron Constantin used few movements (some 8-day going) with the signature “Astral” for their clocks with Art Deco cases elaborated by Verger Frères, Paris.
