"Two-Tone Dial" Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 428973, case No. 269858, Ref. 4178. Made in 1941. Very fine and very rare, 18K pink gold gentleman?s wristwatch with square button chronograph, register, tachometer and two-tone dial.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, rounded band, fancy flared lugs. D. Two-tone gilt with applied pink gold bâton indexes and Arabic numerals at 12 and 6, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer 1/5th second and tachometer scale. Pink gold "bâton" hands. M. Cal. 13??? 434, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperature, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
