?Ostrich Feathers? Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 289454, case No. 177512. Made circa 1892. Very fine, hunting-cased, keyless, 18K pale pink gold pocket watch with unusual dial and movement.
C. Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette with inscription. D. White enamel with painted stylized Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Gold "Breguet" hands. M. Cal. 20''', Ostrich feather engraved pink gold bridges on frosted gilt and silver base plate, 19 jewels, straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, Brandt & Hofmann?s micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 54 mm.
