Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, No. 77326, completed in 1855, sold on 31 May 1855 in New York. Fine and unusual 18 ct. gold hunting cased watch.
C. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes", with reeded band, engine-turned in a "vermicelli" pattern the back centred with an engraved vine leaf. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border and engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 17"', gilt brass, bar calibre, 13 jewels, Swiss lateral lever escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the cuvette and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
