Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 463729, case No. 324177, Ref. 4764, completed in December 1951, sold on 17 March 1955 to Mr. Purkhardt, Walton on Thames, England. Extremely rare and very fine, large, astromomic, «carré galbé», 18ct gold gentleman's wristwatch with triple date and moon phases.
C. massive, polished, stepped bezel and lugs. D. mat silver with applied gold indexes and Arabic numerals + auxiliary seconds dial, outer graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the lunations. «Bâton» gold hands. M. 12 1/2"'-495 rhodiumed, "fausses côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, antishock system, self-compensating Breguet balancespring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. In very good condition. Dim. 35 x 43 mm.
