Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 357655, case No. 221482, completed in 1911, sold on 30 May 1921 to Mr. Patiola. Very fine and unique, 18 ct. gold and enamel "Art-Nouveau" keyless "Chronomètre Royal" dress watch.
C. Three body, massive, "bassine pincée", bezel and band with painted enamel decoration over a black ground, the back enamelled with a finely painted tabor playing maiden in classical dress, dancing on a stage. Gold cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. 17"', gilt brass, 20 jewels, straight fine lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 47 mm.
