Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 343176, case No. 212386, completed in 1909, sold on 4 September 1911, to M. Ch. E. Wild. Very fine 18 ct. pink gold keyless pocket chronometer, awarded a Mention honorable with 687 marks at the the Geneva Astronomical Observatory timing contest in 1910, in original fitted box with original certificate.
C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, the back engraved with a decoration engraved by F. Verger in Paris. Gold cuvette engraved with a dedication dated: Sept 1911. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. 18"', gilt brass, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Crausaz, brass and steel-nickel, balance adjusted by C. Batifolier, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition, with photocopies from the records of the timing contest. Diam. 50 mm.
