Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 343603, case No. 219432, completed in 1910 and sold to Mr. Censi on 13 September 1912. Very fine and rare 18 ct. pink gold hunting cased, keyless pocket chronometer with Bulletin de lere Classe from the Observatory of Geneva, in original fitted box with original certificate.

C. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", polished, the back engraved with the monogram "F.C.". Gold cuvette engraved with the inscription for the First Class Bulletin. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. 20"', gilt brass, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Crausaz, brass and steel-nickel, balance adjusted by C. Batifolier, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and swan neck micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition, with photocopies from the records of the timing contest. Diam. 58 mm.

Timing Contest: - Mean average daily rate +/-0,32 - Restart period -1,32 - Error of compensation per degree C +/-0,049 - Mean error in 6 positions +/-0,54 With 576 marks, this chronometer was not classified among the 102 chronometers with more than 600 marks. The first one with 866 and the last one with 603, the maximum being 1000 marks. Hunting-cased pocket chronometers with "Bulletin d'Observatoire" are extremely rare.
