Swiss, retailed by Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, circa 1880. Fine 18 ct. gold hunting cased, pocket chronometer, with a smoked rock crystal gold mounted seal engraved with a coat of arms matching that of the watch.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets" , engineturned with reeded band, a coat of arms with a Ducal crown applied on the cover. Gold cuvette engine-turned on the border and engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "fleurs de lys" hands. M. 20-, gilt brass, bar caliber, 14 jewels, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
